Are you new to facials? Have you been seeing all your favorite Instagrammers getting facials and you dream of being in their shoes? Solace can help you out! We’re going to go through four of the most commonly asked questions when it comes to facials.

Why facials are important?

You work out, try to eat as healthy as possible and get your haircut every 6-8 weeks. You should treat you skin the same way and get facials. As the seasons change, so does your skin. As temperatures rise, your skin can become oilier which can lead to breakouts. As the weather gets colder, skin can become dehydrated because of inside heating systems. Facials help to reduce oils and clear away any debris like sand or sunscreen that's left behind. Facials can also replenish the moisture lost from inside heat and being in a drier climate.

What are the benefits of getting facials?

There are many benefits to getting a facial. They lead to a smoother texture, improve moisture levels in the skin, give you a glowing complexion, clearer and firmer skin. The real key here to yield all the benefits of a facial is that you should get them on a regular basis. Like working out, the real results come from working out consistently.

How often should you get one?

Your routine for getting facials will depend on your skin type. The general rule is to get one once a month, if your budget allows it. If you have dry skin, it’s better to be more diligent during colder months. If you have oily skin, it’s more important to get facials during warmer months. Facials can prevent and/or solve problems for all skin types.

What do I need to know before I go?

While facials are relaxing, there are a couple uncomfortable moments that can happen during the process. Extractions occur when your esthetician deep cleans your pores. Estheticians have to use the right amount of pressure and angles for successful extractions that can cause discomfort. You also may experience redness following a facial. The good news is the redness should go away in about a day or two, so there’s no need to worry.

We all know the perfect outfit can really make or break your day, and that’s why we are so excited for the opportunity to expand Solace’s pampering services beyond hair, skincare, nails and massage! Raegan and Sydney worked together extensively to ensure that every item within this Adair location will be perfectly styled, sized and fitted for today’s business woman. You’ll find all of the usual Adair classics you love, plus a few more sophisticated pieces carefully considered by Raegan herself. Along with the addition of Adair downstairs, our nail services are getting an upgrade! While we’ve always catered to our guests with our Southern Hospitality and charm, we are determined to make your nail experience even more enjoyable and tailored to your specific wishes! The nail room is moving to a more private area upstairs in order to elevate your nail experience at Solace. We want for guests to feel indulged in and able to unwind in a tranquil, serene space while being pampered with longer and more relaxing manicures and pedicures in our new space.
